This new direction follows significant changes at the publicly-funded organization, including the resignation of its previous CEO last month after both workforce dissatisfaction and ministerial calls for comprehensive reform.

Increasing Digital Threats

The latest project comes amid increasing worry about the nation's susceptibility to digital service failures and digital assaults.

Recent incidents have highlighted these vulnerabilities, including a significant disruption affecting international online platforms and latest online threats that halted manufacturing at major factories and logistics systems across various businesses.

Management and Supervision

A ex-military leader of the the nation's space operations center will provide findings next month on how the state-backed organization can best support the scale of government AI ambitions in defense, national security and information gathering.

Organizational Refocusing

The organization's leader, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the 440-staff institute have been terminated, spun out or completed because they do not align with the revised strategy.

Organizational Difficulties
